IDK what it's like in New Zealand, but in Oz the direct connection between petrol taxes and road funding was severed long ago.

The only thing that I hate about this site is that it doesn't tell you which post replies are to. If this is about Albanese, I'd still say that he revealed his true colours as Leader of the "Opposition", i.e. Right-wing by desire, despite being from the "Left" faction.

Really? As Leader of the "Opposition" while #scottyfrommarketing was PM, he made it pretty clear to me what he stood for, or rather didn't. He was ProMo's #1 enabler.
