I’d guess that it’s not completely untrue but if your instruction is to sit deep and press high when you’ve got a safe opportunity to do so then the players aren’t going to be able execute that against Arsenal who don’t give you many safe opportunities to press high. So it’s bad instructions.

Having players to pass you the ball is helpful for creative player. Who knew.

Did you really need to add another physical midfielder who isn’t a good passer? Did you need to add two more strikers who are kind of wingers? All in positions where we weren’t good enough anyway.

You have to offer some threat going the other way though. And without Porro or Xavi we just don’t have a way out.

Yeah true. They can both pass short distances better than the rest of the team even if they aren’t going to hit anything brilliant.

Idk really - I feel like lost duels in certain zones? I’m not a stats expert just with errors leading to shots (or goals) - there’s basically always an error but they only categorise it sometimes? Which is subjective and therefore not that useful.
