So what actually helps?
Allow yourself to start small.
Use simple systems you can follow every day.
Stop waiting for the perfect moment and begin while things are still messy.

Even when you know what to do, doing it consistently is hard.
Execution requires decisions, risk, and discomfort.
Thinking about the plan is easy.
Following through is the real challenge.

School also sets the wrong expectations.
It rewards the student who solves everything alone.
Real life does not work like that.
Success depends heavily on emotional intelligence and how you work with people, not just raw IQ.

Perfectionism makes it even worse.
You keep adjusting, rewriting, polishing.
The project never leaves your laptop.
But what really counts in the real world is finishing something and putting it out there.

The problem is not intelligence.
It is overthinking that pretends to be productivity.
Planning and researching sound important, but most of the time they are ways to avoid taking a step.

Many smart people stay stuck because they live in their heads.
Endless tabs. Endless ideas. Endless planning.
But nothing actually gets released.

Meanwhile, people who are not as “smart” move faster simply because they take action.

I encountered multiple cases like this, and they turned out to be retracted accessions. But interestingly, they still showed up in the SRA Run Selector. Maybe try www.cncb.ac.cn?lang=en, they cache other DBs.
