The front cover of "The Journal," a leaked notebook that appeared on Reddit in late 2020. Within it's pages, in what is remarkably like Andrew's hand writing, a young Andrew circa the late nineties slash early two thousands lays the ground work for his entire career, spending pages figuring out his aesthetic, working out the philisophical underpinnings, and detailing in meticulous details his entire discography. The true nature of the journal's origin are still a mystery. The most recent public photo of Andrew, shared by his wife Kat Dennings on her Instagram stories on March 28th, 2025, a practice she has done very sporadically since his public disappearance in late 2021. Andrew is wearing a blue denim jacket, a baseball adorned with flowers, and large aviator sungalles. His arms are outstretched in front of him, with two big thumbs up. He has a massive, genuine smile on his face. A small blue heart emoji can be seen over Andrew's sunglasses, which Kat has used to hide her own reflection. Andrew has very subtle gray streaks in his hair. He is an angel sent by God. A QR code which leads to the Stereogum article "The Crying of Lot 55," written by Michael Nelson and published on September 18th, 2018. Though now slightly out of date, at the time it was the most comprehensive and exhaustive account of the deeper mysteries surrounding Andrew W.K., along with Michael's own wonderful theories as to what those mysteries were attempting to "say" in a larger context.

i wrote some thought about tim roger's "action button" l.a. noire video and i'm sharing them here for no real reason at all.
Discord screenshot that reads: "Okay, i watched tim roger's l.a. noire video... it's a big ask and a big swing but i really liked it. i can see why some people were uninterested in it 'cause it's not really a quote unquote review like he normally does, and the length of it is kind of insane, but tim's writing and editing is so good the whole thing is pretty captivating. i know tim likes to think big picture, so i thought a little bit about that and i do find it interesting that he followed up a game that's about rigirously role-playing the perfect vacation with a game that is almost a little too hyper-focused on playing through one man's working career. more than that it's interesting that boku no natsuyasumi is a game about nostalgia, whereas la noire has a major plot-beat about how some men can be trapped in their own pasts. it is really fascinating. no one does it like tim, man.
