Thank you Francesca Albanese: brave as ever, not mincing her words OR her dates. “For nearly a CENTURY Palestinians have been living under the weight of a brutal settler colonial project.” Disrupt, strike, boycott, for those who stand to lose EVERYTHING.

If you're still watching BBC (I stopped 2 yrs ago) don't let them forget: their refusal to broadcast SAfrica's ICJ case in Jan 2024 (while broadcasting Israel's defence) enabled millions to keep looking the other way. They get no credit for finally reporting what everyone in the universe already saw

I’m tired of people, from celebrities, to journalists, to the UN itself, finally solemnly declaring what was clear to everyone from the start. South Africa laid it all out before the ICJ in JANUARY 2024. What took the rest of you so long? Waited till deaths were in 100,000s??

“Figures from a classified Israeli military intelligence database indicate five out of six Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in Gaza have been civilians, an extreme rate of slaughter rarely matched in recent decades of warfare.”

Revealed: Israeli military’s own data indicates civilian death rate of 83% in Gaza war
Figures from classified IDF database listed 8,900 named fighters as dead or probably dead in May, as overall death toll reached 53,000

Money has now officially become the ONLY thing that matters in the UK.

Your protests - meaningless!
Caring about children being slaughtered - meaningless!

Those of us who care about anything else should all just give up now as it is meaningless in the UK.

I mean, why not just suggest adding phrenology to the points based immigration system?

Eleven days ago, Israel assassinated a Pulitzer-prize-winning journalist. Anas al-Sharif documented the relentless Israeli assault on civilians, breaking down on camera as he reported on the gathering famine. He was 28 years old

What should be publicly owned, or privatised?

We have a century of data on what works, so we should be able to get beyond ideology + build an evidence-based theory.

See, the problem with 'its this or fascism' is that the 'this' directly legitimises and mainstreams fascism. Labour are acting as Reform's greatest ally and asset by continually accepting anti-migration narratives as the foundation of debate.

I tweeted this a year and a half ago. A YEAR AND A HALF AGO! So yes, I feel sick seeing our media suddenly feigning surprise Israel is starving a whole population to death. YOU did it BBC et al. YOU did it: by turning a blind eye, by repeatedly platforming Israeli lies, YOU did it.

UNRWA has food for the entire population for over three months — stockpiled and ready also in Al Arish, Egypt.

The supplies are available. The systems are in place.

Open the gates. Let UNRWA deliver.
1 million children are waiting.

Day 600, which means Israel has committed 600 October 7s since October 7, but its bloodthirst is still not satiated. Where are the international lawyers so keen on humanitarian interventions in the past? Where are you now ah??

You won't hear this on BBC so in case of doubt: people under occupation have right to resist their oppressors, inc with armed resistance. They can also seek and receive support from third states for their struggle. Third states have not only the right but *duty to support liberation struggles.

Sorry to go off-topic (ie Palestine and Palestine again) but a note to academics (and lay people generally) sniffy about ADHD: it’s not a con, it’s not undiagnosed or undiagnoseable, it’s very real. Show some understanding if not compassion.

This is so beautiful, I’m in tears. Exactly the kind of pilgrimage we need today. Peter & Pilgrims have been walking from Bristol to London for two weeks while fasting and reading Palestinian children’s poems. Let’s join and welcome them when they arrive at Parliament Square tomorrow ♥️♥️

Many of us sit at home saying genocide is bad but what can little us do blah blah and others get up and climb Big Ben wrapped in a Palestinian flag. Sorry, was away yesterday and looking at the pics now in tears and in awe.

It's insane our media report endlessly on plans to reconstruct Gaza from Trump's illegal fantasy to Arab states' initiative without mentioning the obvious answer: Israel has to pay for its crimes. They report of Russia's frozen assets paying for Ukraine but never of Israel paying for Gaza.

I dread for Palestinians in villages featured in No Other Land. As the settlers wake up to the film winning an Oscar they will unleash more of their hell on Palestinians. Their frustration following any symbolic win, be it at the ICJ or at the Oscars, is always lethal.
