I have social media fatigue. I like dogs, cats, hockey, volcanoes, basically all nerdy shit. I cross-stitch but not like your grandma.
Just me walking around and taking deep breaths and not coughing and omg thank you chemistry. Also f*ck you pollen.

THIS
To everyone shouting “no one is above the law” referring to that Milwaukee judge: We have a criminal in the White House. A guy who’s proven to be utterly lawless. And you’re perfectly fine with that. So take your “no one is above the law” bullshit and shove it up your ass.

File under: nerdy and no one cares…
Need to start a journal to record the last sector of the #shippingforecast I remember. Last night only made it to Cromerty.

Arguing with my bestie about which puppy is cuter: golden or staffy.

Not Christian. Sob over the Easter story every year. Not a fan of musicals but can sing Jesus Christ Superstar from start to finish (including instrumental solos).

Just found JCS original movie on Prime. The Jesus in this production has some serious metal yell.

Started watching hockey when I was about 13-ish. I’m 50 now. This is the last night of the voice of my entire hockey experience. I don’t know how to feel right now.

If “other people” don’t have the right to due process, neither do you.

Pasta that is actually… potato? Gnocchi where have you been all my life

Considering the amount of garlic in the dish I just made… it’s a good thing I’m not in the office until Wednesday. (Also no regrets)

I wish I could remember which account said this, but they described the way bully breeds play as “body slamming and bitey-face” and that is so accurate 😂

Today I went for a run at a park I like to go to because it has a nice flat loop. Apparently there was a big charity walk… started right around when I got there. Charity’s color was orange. I’d worn my bright orange running shirt. When I passed by fans they rang their cowbells and cheered me on 😂

Me: oh it’s False Spring, let me open some windows for some air!!!!

My dog: sitting in the window, smelling all the air and occasionally huff/woofing. Because smells.

There’s a song I find musically and lyrically beautiful. Apparently it’s from a soundtrack of a movie where a captive woman finds joy and love outside her forced marriage.

The fact that I really liked this song was used against me.

When your (mutual) Gen X friend calls you ON THE PHONE and you answer because obviously someone must have died because she didn’t text first, and you blab for 2 hours.

Heartbreaking conversation with a Canadian friend who relocated to US a year ago to care for aging in-laws…. “I’m afraid to leave the country. Green cards mean nothing.” How does one even respond to that.

The public is also being ill-informed by the the national press (let alone the state media of Fox News/Twitter).

The headlines and talking heads on cable news should be blaring today, for example:
-Constitutional crisis bc exec branch defies judicial branch;
-President says he'll persecute enemies
Partially explains the Senate Dems' cowardice, the public is apparently very much enjoying fascism at the moment. bsky.app/profile/atru...

I live in one of the towns the detour for the Rt 80 sinkhole goes through. It’s hard to explain the magnitude of it to people from outside the area (i.e. all my co-workers). Summer is going to be mind boggling.

Query: does fighting back through the courts do anything when the one in question has been legally proven to be above the law, actually do anything?

Admittedly I’ve been not following news (aware that is a privilege) due to other things burning out my emotional stamina but… is he really still going on about the “51st state”? Smacks of “look over here, not over there”.

I saw a giant, sideways Einstürzende Neubauten logo on the side of a contractor’s truck today. Dude getting out of the truck looked about my age. I haven’t seen that logo in a looooong ass time. Also he was a builder. Well played, sir

This is the first day I’ve opened my windows this year and both animals lost their dang minds, sniffing the air. “What is this????? Outside is in the house????”

Whhhyyyyy is it so light out at 7pm. This is not natural. But I got yelled at yesterday and told “too bad” if I don’t like it 🙄🙄🙄

Talked to my sister today. I said “how are you?”

She said “I’ve been reading the news”

Today was the one day I didn’t …
