I do science stuff and have two orange kittens and am blessed with an amazing partner in life. Much love and worship of the Sonoran desert ecosystem and culture of the Tucson area. Now and then we randomly explore Arizona with our Jeep.
It seems that Mr. Santos has not exactly become a "dapper man of letters."

Perhaps FOX should pay attention to the fact that a very large segment of their viewers were at the last No Kings event. It is now well beyond the business model of sharp political party division. Most of the people I met at the were conservative republican, white, elderly Americans and veterans.

At the last No Kings rally in mostly white conservative Oro Valley Arizona most of the peaceful protesters were older white conservatives who voted for Trump and regretted doing so. No one likes being lied to. No conservative American is willing to live in a dictatorship.

I was surprised that only one place in Tucson Arizona made the list: Taco Rico which is a food truck. Lucky it is located close to us and will be a new destination today for birthday tacos.

Like all horses good people are horrified by violence.

"He watched as the last of the horses, his mate, pulled back from the scene of such unmitigated violence, and in doing so, the herd of magnificent horses receded into the forest and were gone." James Michener, Centennial, chap. 1 The Land.

The "NSF" is eliminating this amazing ship. It is our only way to get to Palmer Station. We working scientists saw it comming. But we have no voice in political news. The attacks began at NOAA during the Bush era and the rise of climate change facts. I worked at NOAA after a year at Palmer Station.

And so far zero Disc golf courses. ZERO. Outrageous. What year is this ?

But look do you have any idea how hard it is to get a deal on a superyacht. This little one, the Silver Edge, is now up to 75 million dollars. You little worker bees need to suck it up and toil and purchase so that the most qualified among us can discuss your future and fate in a relaxed setting.

I would also be a good night to watch the film: Only the Brave.
I was lucky as a Flagstaff Hotshot. I only got hit by lighting on Mt. Humphreys. They are heroes we must remember.

Hi Bluesky. Happy Summer Solstice to the Northern Hemisphere and happy Winter Solstice to the Southern Hemisphere. This is my favorite holiday. It is not a creation of mankind. Politics and money and wars mean nothing to the Sun and the orbit of our Earth and they never will.

So sorry you had to encounter that ignorance. I love what you post and the kindness you carry. Analemma and Argon send warm wishes and good spirits.
June 11, 2025 at 7:57 PM
Happy little man.
Excellent job parenting from you guys.
Distant cousins Argon and his sister Analemma now 11 months old. If I was 5 minutes later arriving at the animal shelter they would of parted at 7 weeks.

When I see this all I can think of is the coward's attempting to erase history at the DOD. Ignore them and honor those worthy of our honor.

This book is a bit more than a book. It is also a puzzle where the solution reveals the location of 5 treasure chests hidden in the US. One of the chests has stuff from the Forrest Fenn treasure which was found via the book: The Thrill of The Chase. PS it is not about the gold but there is gold.

I volunteered 35 hours a week for two years at USFWS and got this belt buckle. Endangered Species Day is today enacted by congress in 2006. With all the federal cuts this is something you can do to serve your country. I had a blast.

The woke virus provides the intelligence to easily recognize those infected with the dumb ass virus. For Elon it seems to have advanced to the double dumb ass virus.

Analemma is officially a teenager and her murderous intent while targeting the humming birds is laid back and casual.

My kitten Argon seems to have doubled in size overnight.
Only 7 months and he is a 12 pound kettlebell.

Happy Valentines Day Bluesky humans.
We really love you!

In that case I shall keep my 1995 Jeep Wrangler. Just a CB radio and no airbags. Perfect for the Mad Max themed American Apocalypse comming this summer.

Every night I erase all politics on my porch with a clear view of a bright Mars. When I focus on Mars I think only about Carl Sagan and his books and no one else.

“Sailors on a becalmed sea, we sense the stirring of a breeze.”
― Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space

Thinking a lot about Carl Sagan this past week. The one who pointed us at Mars. The one with a world view worthy of his words about the pale blue dot. An amazing mind and writer. He did not seek power or money but only to explore. Here his Porsche with the moon of Mars as his plate. Miss ya Carl.

Primate behavior at its best. "The posturing of Silverback Gorillas". I think from Jane Goodall ? Not sarcastic at all. They just posture which is big picture smart. Humans do not. Do better humans.

There is coffee growing in the Biosphere II rainforest biome outside Tucson, Arizona. The original idea of this experimental facility was to grow it on Mars. Mabey that will again be the plan.
