Is there a quick way to remove all the "AI artists" from my feed?

Is this framework perfect?
No.
But does it allow us to ship nice, polished apps that our customers love?
Also no.

So I've got this 500 GB USB stick, and it turns out they sell them formatted into FAT32, which means you can't put files larger than 4 GB there. I have so many questions for SanDisk.

Every single time I try "vibe coding", something goes horribly wrong. This time, I wanted something similar to `ping` utility. Sonnet 3.5 one-shotted the whole thing and then wasn't able to fix handling of out-of-order ICMP responses in 3 hours.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was released six years ago but it still looks better than most modern games. Feels better, too.

The nickname above means "optimizer bug", and I like it a lot:
1) it hints that my first language is Russian;
2) it hints that I'm an SWE and probably senior one (this kind of bug is specific and rare);
3) poetic: something that wasn't supposed to exist in the first place but somehow, it does.

Note: to add to the insult, everyone is still calling it Twitter.

Okay, so now we have two services in production that are written in Rust. Both are surprisingly stable, with ~2 MB memory footprint. Very good. I kinda wish build times were better, though.

Watched two movies today, "I, Robot" and "Don't look up". First one is a classic, and second one turned out to be much better than I expected. Feeling quite happy.

another important point — domains and hosting (gah!) have nothing to do with each other

domain is just your handle, you can change it many times while keeping your identity

hosting is just where your data lives, you can change it many times without changing how people refer to you

a custom domain only serves as a handle — it is not related to hosting. these two concepts are completely separate, think of domains as just a global username system

checking your account: atproto-browser.vercel.app/at/dmnd.me, serviceEndpoint says that your data is currently hosted by Bluesky

By the way, Bluesky is decentralized, just like Mastodon. You can host content on your own server, and people will see it in their feeds without any additional setup.

Quite unexpectedly, I found myself using bluesky every day. I'm a simple man, I see cat pictures, I be happy.

Finally, a social network where posts aren't jumping around.

I work in software engineering. Is that weird that I don't like to talk about work outside of work?

Trying this app and finding out that posts load instantly and your feed doesn't reload in the middle of reading something and you can turn off video auto play and you can have embedded media players and it's not full of ragebaiting for money and
