I really like MorseWalker, too, as it's available in browser and felt like having real QSOs.

Ive started using MorseInvaders with a homebrew USB key interface, as my keying sucked and was clumsy and inaccurate.

MorseMania

MorseWalker (web) and MorseRunner (classic PC app)

I learned from scratch using those. Mainly the first two.

One of those very nearly burnt my house down!

There's plenty more at it - These are all S01WS, S09M and S0S going back to 2015.

And nobody has uploaded to LoTW?! Seems like a racket to me?! :)

Oh, I actively don't want a paper card. Just LOTW. Costs nothing. Any cost they incur is due to them trying to extract money from it. 😂

Oh, absolutely. WSJT-Z. You can spot it. 😂 Don't blame them, but then to charge me £3 for it! 🤨

Ah yes, my jaunt with @m0wut.bsky.social - Thomas and I were chatting a few days ago, and I said he'd be welcome to my article on QRPer! Glad you enjoyed it!

You'll have to ask @m0wut.bsky.social - that said, I did a house sign for my parents house 8 years ago and that's still holding strong!

Oh you're a star, Graham! 👌

Yes. I have been seeing the same. And bursts of 3.4 kHz of noise over DXpeditions.
September 24, 2025 at 4:51 PM
Ooh yes please! Are you at the RSGB convention? I can buy you a beer or two?

If not, I'll make a little GPS and STM32 with an SD card. I just figured someone else must have done this before me.

I guess it isn't IoT enough for the 2020s! 😂

I have a Samsung watch2 thingie. Will try it for track recording.

Yes. I use a GPS app on the phone but on a day of talking it destroys the phone battery and it's flat within 3-4h. The smartwatch is a good idea.

I quite like them, but it needs an update... If really like USB control, for sound and CAT.

It is very good, though.

No, I'm definitely not. G90 is good, but about 3kg too heavy! The QMX is cigarette packet sized!

I'd make it smartphone sized, same thickness, and add the ATU and bigger PA.
September 17, 2025 at 3:02 PM
I really like it. But 5W feels a little bit mean (though it happily makes QSOs). An AutoATU would be amazing, too, but at the price point it is excellent.

I'd be very happy if it was 50% bigger, with an ATU and 20W PA, and cost a bit more. That'd be amazing!
September 17, 2025 at 10:52 AM
Me too. This isn't mine. I use a QMX out portable which has a lot of the same features or better (USB, sound card for FT8) but an upgrade to 10W and ATU would be nice.

I keep looking on Facebook marketplace and eBay.
