In 2023 I became obsessed with videos of dads in cargo shortswaiting in parking lots during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. So when she came to town, I grabbed a camera and headed down to talk to them. I thought it'd be funny. It turned out to be something else entirely.

First off, my suspension has ended. Got a little harsh with a post a few days ago but I didn’t have my feet on the ground and I’m sorry if I offended anyone. Will try to be more chipper. Knock on wood!

For the first time since she was freed from an immigration prison, Rümeysa Öztürk speaks. And she does so by ... writing:

"Writing is the heart of freedom of expression. Unbelievably, this single opinion piece, published in our student newspaper, would lead to my arrest and detention."
“Even God Cannot Hear Us Here”: What I Witnessed Inside an ICE Women’s Prison
Tufts University doctoral student Rümeysa Öztürk opens up about her 45 days in a South Louisiana processing facility—and the generous and compassionate women she met.

This first-person account of bring swept away by the Texas floodwaters is harrowing & an incredible piece of writing.
“The River House Broke. We Rushed in the River.”
The July 4 Texas flooding ripped our Kerr County home from its pillars, pulling us into the water and into the night. Then morning came.

The Washington Examiner (the conservative news outlet) reports that Stephen Miller screamed at ICE officials: "What do you mean you're going after criminals? Why aren't you at Home Depot? Why aren't you at 7-Eleven?" Kinda blows up the narrative that they care about public safety.

I’d argue that it is in part or primarily to reinforce the idea that they’re targeting dangerous criminals. Normies will look at this and assume there’s a need for it.
There's no organized immigrant resistance to ICE. One of the most alarming things about these fash assholes playing military dress-up is that they're not doing it to arrest immigrants, they're armed up because they're expecting to fight American citizens... violently.
The idea that this kind of armed presence is necessary in Great Barrington - a quaint Berkshires town of artists, aging hippies, and retired dentists - is insane. These agents are dressed like paramilitaries, not police officers. www.berkshireeagle.com/breaking/ice...

- Rumeysa Öztürk has never been charged with a crime.
- Mahmoud Khalil has never been charged with a crime.
- Momodou Taal has never been charged with a crime.
- Badar Khan Suri has never been charged with a crime.
State Department spox Tammy Bruce just blatantly lies and says that students are getting visas revoked for "illegal activity" (Rumeysa Ozturk was not charged with a crime)

Had a nice day eating Thanksgiving dinner at a hotel. They had quite a variety of dishes and it was all good. Then two movies, Wicked (again) and Moana 2. Both pretty enjoyable. Now to chill with my piggies. *flomp*
