To me, that's one huge problem with politics rn, it takes a really specific kind of person to be able to run, win, and be effective in office. However, that specific kind of person isn't necessarily the best person for a government role, like we need more specialization, & collaboration to succeed.

💯 Additionally, I think we need MORE, not less gov. workers b/c the pace at which the world runs is breakneck compared to how it was when any "modern" gov was imagined. Running for office, and holding office are like, a huge undertaking and partially why it's more feasible for wealthy people.
