Really frustrating how the government has become some sort of competition instead of reps trying to make decisions representative of their constituents. GOP majority makes devastating legislation and the dems roll over. Demo majority makes small moves and let the GOP run them over anyway.

Would be crazy if modern conservatives actually stood for anything besides being cruel and being "right". It's a party filled to the brim with sore losers, sore winners, and sadists. Deeply unhappy people who want nothing more than to punch down and hurt vulnerable people.

Maintaining status quo is how the US, and countries worldwide ended up in the state they're in. We can't just get things "good enough" for 51% of the population, we need to keep solving problems and creating a human-first society. When you stop moving forward going uphill, you slide backwards.

If the rest of the party had 1/24 the motivation that @booker.senate.gov had they might actually accomplish something, and without having to put forth nearly as much effort as Booker did. The amount of fortitude it takes to give that long of a fillibuster shouldn't be underestimated.

Political positions are NOT for the "everyman" anymore; Though, I don't believe they ever truly were in American history, being exclusive for wealthy, white, male landowners by design. The barrier to entry grows daily. You need tons of spare time, cash, energy, and the ability to be plugged in 24/7.

I was born male, I think most cis or trans women, could whoop me at every sport, even at my genetic peak. There's more to sports than genetics: like your skill, knowledge, teamwork, etc. I mean shit, is a sport even worth giving a fuck about if it all comes down to who was born with the best stats??

2. ensure that they have excellent maternal AND paternal leave
3. ensure everyone has access to free government supported child care
4. give parents multiple forms of economic relief

A first class democracy should never feel like a fight for life or death, rights need to be clearly and robustly defined, enshrined, and protected. Military, police and judicial don't serve gov, they protect the people from them, and serve to follow and protect the outline of rights and policy.
