Took some time for scenic trees on a little loop of four state parks. Good for the soul, and grounding in one of the many reasons for The Fight.

Saw someone call Lego a “lonely self pleasure tool” this morning, as “no adults get together on a Friday night to build Lego.”

Skill issue. Make better friends.

Slightly belated #modelhorsemonday if we’re going by strict timezones, but I’m night shift so there.

The official model’s name is Hwin, and she was the very first horse model I bought for myself.

The square portrait is Ana Sophia Seshet Riga, a major character in my most recent manuscript.

Finished the first task card of 2025: studiooffice improvements. Hanging the velvet curtains, fixing the lights, dusting & rearranging horses, organizing the project shelves for #namopaimo, investing in a rug for under my chair.

Also sowing wildflowers - though the traditional time is November, the reason is so they cold stratify in place and germinate as the warmth returns. Our cold has been so minimal that other gardeners in my region have been reporting Confused Bluebonnets in December and January.

Cold weather finally on the way. Behold the lazy gardener solution to coddling container plants

After many years of having the book and either not being able to find it at the holidays or no one being free, we finally started a round of The Secret Lives of Gingerbread Men on solstice.

Has been a busy month. Helped my partner rearrange their office-studio this morning though. Love that we were able to repurpose this entertainment center, and hoping we can continue leaning into the train-car vibes as we unify the finishes in here.
