This show would hit so different if it was put out as a new series today: A TV show about unaccountable, sometimes amatuer, powerful secret people, sometimes masked, kicking the crap out of aliens and... well I don't wanna give the show away.

It isn't an English-language-first-country at all. Any idea what it is? And if you do, can you say why that is?

Obviously they don't do this with Japan (Nippon in Japanese) or Germany (Deutschland in German), but if the place is called X-land and that's more or less how you say it in X-landian, reporters will bend over backward to place the gluttal stops in the right spots. Every one. Except for one.

I can't recall the last time I heard a reporter talking about a country with problems when said reporter didn't ceremoniously sound out "Are-hen-tina" or "Bra-thill" or "Gchazza", showcasing their deep understanding and respect for the place in question.
