A wee thing I made to stick on the wall to remember the attack steps in @bastionland.bsky.social's Mythic Bastionland

Today's the second and last day of our @nerc-eof.bsky.social Metabarcoding for diet analysis and environmental DNA workshop. All the student's are working hard which is always great :)

The Sandwoods were covered in massive cactuses before the Boneheads were introduced. Reborn through the machinations of the CGC they are protected by the Doppelgänger Dunes as steeds and as a vital food source.

Massive tsunami sized sand waves flow across the SANDWOODS. Above Adult Giant Antlions roam the skies whilst their children lurk in the sands below.

Today I am hosting the @nerc-eof.bsky.social Python for Bioinformatics workshop. As part of it they analyse some bacterial sequences found growing on plastic found in the Mediterranean Sea.

In the WINDWOODS the team will need to descend into a forest of fossilised coral. They will meet various challenges as part of the rescue mission in the fossil reef. Below is the "Dungeon map" made by overlapping coral silhouettes found in @tmkeesey.bsky.social's www.phylopic.org/images

This would leave a featureless land if not for the large forests of fossilised coral and the photosynthetic flytoplankton flowing in the winds. Flying raccoons scour the lands for food and try to avoid the tumblejellies, desiccated jellyfish that blow in the wind and rejuvenate at the touch of prey.

The second area of the DENDROSPHAERA is the WINDWOODS. Once under the sea the land has been blasted by constant winds leaving the unprotected dirt to be scorched by the sun.

A "map" of the various Islands in the SKYWOODS within the DENDROSPHAERA

I'm making a setting for my new PUML campaign. Its set in a world full of forests called the DENDROSPHAERA. Unfortunately it is being colonised and exploited by an evil AI that runs a multidimensional online store.
I am making multiple smaller sandboxes for it with the first being the SKYWOODS.

For my weekly RPG group I'll be running Orc Borg by @rowanrookanddecard.bsky.social. It's a great read and I love all the style they imbued in the large format book. To help my players visualise their Orcs I drew up the below.

For my training materials I like to include wee images to break up the text and act as visual landmarks.
Here's an example of a tiger silhouette I made.
I use GIMP to combine and colour images. The tiger is from PhyloPic and the stripes/grass is from The Noun Project
