PhD Student with Thomas Oertner at Institute for Synaptic Neuroscience (ZMNH, Hamburg) | Interested in Astrocyte-Neuron Communication
Pinned
With a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and an MSc in Neurobiology, I am interested in the mechanisms of synapse regulation by astrocytes.

Currently a PhD student supervised by Thomas Oertner at the Institute of Synaptic Neuroscience, investigating the effect of cAMP on astrocyte-neuronal communication.
Last week, I had the opportunity to present my work at the 11th ECS Symposium, 'Crosstalk between Ca²⁺ and Adenine Nucleotides', and receive the Best Oral Presentation award

I had the incredible opportunity to present my work at the EMBO Workshop "Astrocytes: From Molecules to Systems" in Venice. I am grateful for all the talks, ideas and networking with researchers who share a common interest in astrocytes.

IL‐10 and Cdc42 modulate astrocyte‐mediated microglia activation in methamphetamine‐induced neuroinflammation
IL-10 acts on astrocytes, reducing glutamate release, preventing microglial activation under Meth. IL-10 reduces Meth-induced astrocytic Ca2+ dynamics and Cdc42 activation. In vivo IL-10 prevents Me...
