A recent decision by the BC Human Rights Tribunal affirmed that immunodeficiency is a disability, and employers who fail to accommodate immunocompromised workers are discriminating against them on the basis of disability.

In what may be a Canadian first, a human rights tribunal has affirmed the right of an immunocompromised person to seek workplace accommodations.

Disability advocates are praising the decision, saying it broadens the concept of accessible workplaces.

Big numbers. Bc of much less severe disease than in adults, authorities have gambled that COVID/long COVID in kids is of little concern. There's much evidence now to suggest that's wrong. There's a clear path to better protect kids. We should take it.
