Bortkiewicz, piano sonata n° 2
A lovely piece, with some references to popular composers. I fell in love as soon as I heard it

Another Ravel classic

I love this one so much, both soft and fun, sounds so natural
Kapustin, Trio for cello, flute and piano

Irina Lankova's unique touch on this piece is mesmerising!
Chopin Nocturne Op. 48 No. 1

Some moments I love in Chopin's ballade 4, interpreted by the one and only, and my favorite, legendary Zimerman

I still love this one. I showcased two similar parts, but the whole piece is worth listening to!
Alexander Tsfasman, Lyrical waltz

Piano sonata b minor, Liszt. Still amazed! And played by Zimerman too. Challenging and refined, from hell to heaven, this piece is phenomenal

#A-Haydn-A-Day Here we go - on Papa’s birthday - kicking off the String Quartets series with Op.1, No.1. I’ll be following the order of this Naxos box, but will add anything extra that might appear in the Aeolian box at the end.

Happy birthday to my favourite composer of all. The only thing as good as starting the day with a Haydn symphony is starting the day with a Haydn string quartet.

Let's GO! #NowListening

I realized I never shared this obvious masterpiece here. Ondine, by Ravel, a popular piece indeed, often described as one of the hardest pieces of the piano repertoire. So dreamy and refined!

Kapustin, one of my favorites too, the first one to make me discover my love for Russian jazz.

I want to go back to the times I had not discovered Chopin's 1st ballade yet, just so I can hear it for the first time again
February 20, 2025 at 2:05 AM
Seriously, is there a better piano piece than Chopin's 1st ballade

A classic! These are the two most famous parts, the first one bringing tears to my eyes.
Chopin, Ballade N⁰1 in G Minor, Op. 23

It's a unique experience and pleasure to hear Rachmaninoff, for example, playing a piece composed by Saint-Saëns or Scriabin. It makes me wish others recorded themselves...

Knowing and hearing a composer you love playing a piece you like from another composer, it makes you aware of the beauty of time, of life. It makes all those 'distant' people closer somehow

Alexander Scriabin, Op. 28 Fantasy in B minor

By Rautavaara, one of my favorite composers of all time. So unique, not afraid of trying new things!

Probably my favorite composer after Chopin and Rachmaninov: Alexander Tsfasman. I love the life that comes out of his pieces. This one is Snowflakes (yes, I chose that for my username) from his piano suite. He introduced me to soviet jazz and now I'm obsessed with it.
