you could try starting with frozen fried rice and add extra stuff to it. I do that sometimes because it's super easy, even if the texture isn't quite as good

that's kind of the problem / why it's taking so long for me to actually make anything - I'm using a custom framework built on SDL

I'm not really complaining though, I'm having a lot of fun working on it

every time I look back at this post I cringe a little because the memory counter in the corner was off by a factor of 10

(and yes, two months later I'm still trying and failing to write UI code, not much to show)

No warning messages. All exceptions handled. Clean console. Users will just break it anyway, why bother?
