The Trans Mountain tank farm, visible from my apartment window, always makes me think, "Yep. Too many expensive trees and not enough oil tanks built on a mountainside in an earthquake zone; that's the problem." (not my picture)

Flowing right to left within a frame
The washing water wipes, then waters down
Woeful tears, then mended untended tears
In fragile fabric wrapped over ears
Weary of hearing hearts heavy and heaving
Eroding rocks in time stood still
As kids can sing
Verily, verily, life is but a stream

Coffee, ice and pop, I do not need
Nor snacks, nor ice cream, nor pastry
I stopped by the corner shop for what I really need
To find they were all screamed out
In trying times, we're all a little hoarse and buggy

My music prof was Bizet today. I said I’d come back to Mahler. To my disbelief, he asked, “Janáček back later?” This was quite Orff-putting. Things started to un-Ravel. He is always Messiaen about. I won’t go back there Fauré long time. But I did enjoy a meal of chicken Khachaturian.
