Oh my god we're pretty much done with the rework of The Console Room. It's taken too much time to do, a lot of work, and I could have done without a couple of the surprises we turned up in the process, but the artwork *finally* has been rehung, plus a couple of new pieces.

So I finally set up the Steam PC in the redone Console Room so we have even more games on tap. Fighters, beat em ups, platformers, shmups, just more arcade experiences in 85" of display.

It feels kinda wrong to be playing on this quality of A/V equipment. 85" projector screen made in the past few years.

The Console Room is getting into shape, we can actually see the finish line on it... oh, and the new setup we have the floor space to get the final arcade cabinet into the space where it's always belonged.

Furniture is almost done. Probably will start populating the media shelves and reinstalling the receiver tomorrow.

Carpet tiles installed except for some threshold and a couple of trim pieces, and the key audio/visual equipment is installed for when I buy and assemble the IKEA storage solution. We're getting so close!

Biggest purchase at the hardware store - adhesive carpet squares. The carpet in the Console Room is pretty much trash, it wasn't new when we moved in 10 years ago.
