I live in a swing district in ATL suburbs. I find solace in TV and romance. Bones was a seminal show for me in the streaming/social era.
Do not forget the Kings! (Creators of The Good Wife, The Good Fight, Evil). Their current show Elsbeth is a lot of fun. Similar to Columbo in structure. Trust me it’s good. (I also dig Ghosts.)

Maybe I am a total idiot but I don’t see her getting nominated/winning statewide in this state. Republicans like good ole boys. But maybe some smart analyst of Georgia politics knows better than me.

Uhhhh not sure she could win statewide here. Honestly I am flummoxed. Smarter to stay in Congress if she wanted to run for higher office.

I’m confused. Crackpots can exist in Congress for decades. Her seat is very safe. Her constituents were supporting her. The AJC reported on it. She really comes from my area but carpetbagged over to a deep red district. She terrorized our local library. Now out with a whimper?

OMG that is so cool, Mo!!!!!!

Her articles read like bad lit fic. Which tells me these reporters fawning all over her don’t read books much.

There were other factors of course (anti-incumbency, inflation, etc) but a certain number of men (including minorities) who voted for Biden were uncomfortable voting for a female commander in chief.

I just looked at the charts right now and oof. I just don’t listen to any of them save a very occasional listen to The Daily.

Apple has rolled out different categories for Best of 2025 and my goodness. Only podcasts I have listened to were from NYT. It’s just bleak. I listen to more niche podcasts and no doubt they’re much much better!

I watched the trailer and my reaction was they already did this in an episode of Emily in Paris.

Everyone should read the actual article. It says it will allow Turbo Tax users to link their account with Chat GPT. So presumably if you don’t want that, then it will be the normal product.
November 18, 2025 at 9:47 PM
I think it’s just optional. Read the article. It’s about linking the accounts. That is my hope. They already had an AI bot last season which was dreadful.

I read the article. I think (hope) it’s optional. It’s more that you can link your Chat GBT account to Turbo Tax. I think that’s what it is saying.

Intuit to pay OpenAI over $100 million for model access, ChatGPT integrates with TurboTax
Intuit has struck a $100 million-plus deal with OpenAI to bring AI into its financial products like TurboTax and QuickBooks.

Oh no. This is bad news. I use Turbo Tax and have for years. For 2024, they added this bot when you hit search. It’s AI. It was truly dreadful. I had to just use Google (basic questions like what form do I use). I hope it doesn’t destroy the product. I may have to change brands.

Great thread! I think “fear” is the driver here. They got scared seeing what Open AI was doing so they quickly put out this product so they’re not left behind. I feel like a lot of businesses make bad decisions out of fear.

Just watched the episode. He's so good. And yes, I can't believe we have to wait until February!!

I opened Threads and the first thing I saw was what you were talking about!! I guess the algorithm is perfectly pitched to annoy.

I guess if they’re just on KU but I see those BookTok books in Target. I am just speaking from my experience getting into romance. Earlier than 2020. I was curious and read a lot about the genre, listened to podcasts. Talked to people who already read romance. TikTok is very limiting & so is KU.

They don’t seem to know much about Nora Roberts. Which is inexplicable!
