I was 12 years old and remember the TV announcer telling us he had died. I got a doll for Christmas that year and named her Jacqueline after the President's wife. Funny how certain events stick with you. 😥

Again you are teaching me that it pays to look up. I lived at the University end of Kelvin Way for 24 years and crossed that bridge upteen times, especially going to play tennis. I don't remember these sculptures at all. As the young say, My bad!

I was 9 and couldn't understand what this was all about. I went to school with little black and brown children, but I lived in Scotland and we had no problem with colour in the 1950s and '60s. How things have changed. (BTW I could be your mum. 😂)
