Dog lover, reader, walker, Mancunian. Recently retired and not missing work one little bit!
We’ve had fireworks almost every night for weeks. My poor dog is constantly terrified. I am stuck in a bedroom with music blaring to try to calm her, as well as being hundreds of pounds down after spending money on medication that isn’t strong enough to calm her. Just ban the bloody fireworks!

Autumn in full swing

This is my first proper week of retirement (I was on holiday in Scotland last week).
I know I’ve been lucky with the weather, but it’s just been a revelation. Dog walks whenever suits, impromptu coffee/wine dates with friends, home cooked meals and I’m finally on top of the gardening! #retirement

Is there anything more frustrating than going to bed, only to realise that you stripped it earlier but forgot to put fresh bedding on? #grumpy

Netanyahu talking about murderers and baby killers. Talk about “pot, kettle, black”!
He always tries to spin it that criticising him is pro Hamas.
People can be against murder no matter who commits it.

600,000 people got on trains, buses to London to protest against the genocide in Palestine today & it wasn’t even on the news. Such is the power of money, it controls everything & everybody, it’s cost, life itself. Therein the answer, get rid of money in favour of equality & life

I love Eurovision but I can’t watch anymore because Israel should not be given this platform whilst this genocide continues
Get Israel off Eurovision.

My eldest daughter got married today, and my youngest daughter was a bridesmaid. What a perfect day here in beautiful Scotland. No pictures of the bride today, but I’m very proud of this one of her sister. #Scotland #wedding

Donald Trump is ramping up his trade wars and crashing the global economy. He's not sparing the UK from his new tariffs, so why should we roll out the red carpet for a second state visit? Join more than 200,000 of us and add your name to he petition today: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/no...
No second state visit for Trump
Unbelievable. Keir Starmer has handed Donald Trump a letter from King Charles, inviting him for a second state visit to the UK. It’s totally unprecedented, and should not go ahead.  This is the...

The video of Trump’s deportees arriving in El Salvador is horrific.

This is 21st century Nazism.

Identities concealed, trafficked to a foreign labour camp. No due process, no evidence of crime. Dehumanised.

Where is the global outrage?

The crime is historic; the normalisation catastrophic.

I deleted “Twitter/X” today, it’s like self harming going and reading what people say on there. Anyway, spring is here and the sun has been shining

I remember a time, many years ago, when I looked at my mum and realised for the first time that she was getting old. I remember the shock and sadness that hit me. And now I look in the mirror and wonder if my kids have experienced that feeling yet 😅. #gettingold

Apparently a shoe is the perfect container to hold a toy when you need to chew! 🤣

Today was the first day that we took Honey for a walk with my daughter’s new rescue dog, “Donkey”. All went really well and we even managed to get the dogs in the same house (on lead) with no drama. No pictures of them together as we were too busy supervising 😅

Outrage as video shows fox caught in 'barbaric' snare trap on King's Sandringham estate

“This snare was placed alongside a rare Chalk Stream which is regularly used by otters”

Repost if you agree there should be a UK wide ban on these devices!

Today I had to take a very young hedgehog to a rescue so that it would survive the winter. Keep an eye out for these babies and take them to someone who can help them if you see one, as the breeding season has gone haywire this year.

Meet my lovely little rescue dog, Honey. Her hobbies are chasing balls (doesn’t matter if they belong to someone else), doing tricks for treats, and guarding the garden from her arch nemesis, the Cyril (squirrel to you).
