I have to give a talk on Ménière’s Disease to a group of people with hearing loss. I have not been on the NIH or CDC site in many months as I have transitioned from teaching College to middle and high school. I fear what I might find. Or, I could look elsewhere and save myself the agita.

If I had known I could go through life lying and cheating without getting caught, punished for, or looked down upon for said crimes, my life could have gone another way. Oh, wait, only presidents get to do that. Never mind. I already have trouble sleeping at night.

I have a theory. Hear me out. That will be funny, I promise. I would love to see Donald Trump’s hearing evaluation. I do not believe he hears well. Most people his age have hearing loss. It may explain the bizzaro answers he gives to the press. I say this as hearing disabled person. Or dementia.

It is like the Trump administration has lifted every rock, boulder or sea bottom to find the ugliest little bottom feeders, those creepy crawly things that emerge when something is disturbed and made them normal. Put them in charge of the rest of us normal people. I had no idea so many existed.

All I can say is that if you are a 32 year old woman and “falling in love “ with a 71 year old married man who looks like RFKjr and acts like him, you have serious problems. Now, add the “drug use” and it makes you look like more of a fool. He resembles the roadkill he eats.

I am a teacher, science and math. We have a student who requires a reader. Today, we worked on History, so not my jam. The topic was Napoleon today. As I was reading, I was thinking, this is exactly what is happening today, minus the pedophilia. It did not help my anxiety one bit.

I don’t know about y’all, but I have just about had enough of this government. No other industrialized treats its citizens as we do. We don’t pay them a living wage and then we starve them and take away healthcare and even heat in the cold. I challenge anyone to try to live on federal minimum wage.

I met a friend for a meal last night. We went to a local diner. We were talking about the state of the country. She has a 96 year old aunt who still lives independently and drives. She collects SSI but relies on SNAP and HEAP to live. Anyone want to tell her to go get a job? Probably not.

Wait, now their stand is that they are cutting off SNAP so Americans can lose weight? Americans are overweight/obese because we eat crappy food. If we all ate real food, which is very expensive, we wouldn’t be so overweight. I cut out all processed foods and I have a hard time keeping weight on.

I my Pollyanna world, all the people that can afford will provide enough food for all the ones on SNAP or federal workers until Health Insurance is considered a necessity, not a luxury for the rich. Do not cave, people’s lives are on the line. Just think how great the US would be if we were all 1/2

BTW, Congress was scheduled to be out the week of 11/9 so by giving them this week off, they most likely won’t come back until next year. Obviously, our brilliant founding fathers could not anticipate the evilness of our government today or there would be safeguards in place.

It strikes me that the ones of us that live paycheck to paycheck in order to afford our basic needs are the only ones that care whether everyone has those same “luxuries”. The rich seem to make a game of taking things away or at least not caring so they can have more money than they can ever spend.

I miss having a normal sane president who makes sense when he speaks. A president that you can look at and say, he may not have done everything right, but I was never embarrassed by his behavior. I miss having a president that has class. I miss having a president with empathy.
