Nice. Here's my painting of an estuary on the way out to Acadia NP.

My painting "Snow Cows". I was at a show and a lady came into my booth, saw the picture and said "What are snow cows?" My wife (I was away for a moment) said to her "Cows in the snow."

Just for you, Faye, here's a couple of paintings I did re: PEI & Nova Scotia. You can see all of my work at JoeGrubbFineArt.com

Nice. Here's another lighthouse I painted (in Lake Sunapee, NH, USA).

Love lighthouses. Here's my painting of Montauk Light.

Love abandoned/dilapidated places/things. Here's my painting "Closed Today and Every Day", an out-of-business place in CA. I've done others you can see at JoeGrubbFineArt.com. My picture "Catherdral on Girard", a view of an old movie theatre repurposed as a storefront church, is one of my best.

I did a Monterey painting as well, also a watercolor: "Lone Cypress". See JoeGrubbFineArt.com.

"Main Street Monhegan", watercolor 2024.

Can't get much bigger/rockier than this: my painting (watercolor) of Black Head, on the ocean side of Monhegan Island, just off the coast of Maine. Monhegan is a fishing village, but also an artist's colony (just a couple of miles from the Wyeth's island). Strongly recommend visiting.

Exactly my feelings about my own art (JoeGrubbFineArt.com). Winning an award in a show, or selling one of my paintings, provided an incredible emotional uplift for me. Here's "Cathedral on Girard", sold for $850. -amazing to me.

Here's an example, my watercolor "Derelict", an out-of-service ferry in Nova Scotia.

Two paintings I've done of lighhouses: one is Herrick Cove Light in Lake Sunapee, NH, the other the famous Montauk Light at the east end of Long Island.

Nobody. IMHO Degas' ballet/dancer paintings (he did a ton) are far better than his landscapes. Here's a couple of examples:

Also, sorry for the fuzzy photo. Here's perhaps a better example. I really like using figured maple for frames.
July 10, 2025 at 2:34 AM
But do you make your own frames, and do your own matting, etc.? I do. Here's an example, entitled "Lone Sentinel".

My Granddogs Echo (in the back) and Dingo ready to go in the annual Talmadge July 4 Parade (a neighborhood in San Diego). Kids on decorated bikes, baby carriages, lots of dogs, everybody in the red, white and blue. No bands or fire engines, a real family event. This was Echo's 13th parade.

Very interesting detail-free style, and mega-colorful. 100% opposite of my style, but I really like it nonetheless. Here's one of mine.

Here's my Heron painting, entitled "Lone Sentinal".

Love your work, Nikki. We have similar taste in subjects, I'd say. Here's a couple more of mine.

Nice. Similar to my painting "Chincoteague Bay Sunset", which I just sold at the Chester County Studio Tour last week.
