Had a great time raising awareness about @datarescueproject.org at Penn State for the Open Scholarship Bootcamp. Will share slides soon. In meantime, here’s a lion.

Visited the Guilford Courthouse Nat'l Military Park to take pics for #SaveOurSigns. They added Add'l Context signs to the 25 yo displays, asking"Who Chooses How History Is Told?" We have the right to tell our history too!

Help if you are visiting a park this summer! saveoursigns.org

My addition to #SaveOurSigns. During my brief time in NYS, I was pandemic reading (history of feminism combined with mixed drink making) & thought a trip to Seneca Falls was in order. I had learned about the "Hodinöhsö:ni' while at Cornell. These signs built on my understanding of their/our history.

That bear is NOT friend. But he wants you to care about the endangered National Park signs. Snap a photo of any interpretive signs you see while visiting our national parks and submit them here: saveoursigns.org. #SaveOurSigns

Meeting Dr Carla Hayden (who will always be my Lib of Congress) was a highlight of my career. I love the candid photo before the official photo because it shows her grace. She thanked me for my service as an ALA Councilor & joked about our height differences. She is a lovely person/an amazing leader

Spending Earth Day lunchtime in my backyard with these beauties. Listening to kids next door screaming because they saw a snake as one just slithered by my fence. #PhillygotNaturetoo

If you are in Philly and need end-of-life care for a companion animal, I recommend Laps of Love. I know there are so many more important things to deal with, but after 21 years of being a very good cat (and putting up with Minh for many of those), she deserved a special goodbye. 😻

Am I the only one feeling like we have all entered the world of Master and Margarita at this point? This is some straight Soviet theater.

Today in RDDS fun: Lauren is presenting on PIDs for instruments/facilities. We came up with a Philly def: A PID is an ID for a jawn. If the jawn is a John, then it is probably an ORCID. ROFL #pidhumor
