A positive optimist. Today at least!
Loves nature and green space with the occasional burst of London to blow away the cobwebs. Wilfully Woke 😊
Something I missed in the long period without rain this year.
So lovely to see a rainbow over Cholesbury again..

Beautiful peacock butterflies in the garden today. Also small tortoiseshells and many others.
Planted a buddleia last year and Hey Presto! Love nature.

Beautiful moth in the garden today.
I think it is a Scarlett Tiger moth, but happy to be corrected.

After some much needed rain, there is some amazing dragon’s breath mist in the valley this evening.

Beautiful sunrise over a frosty cricket field in Cholesbury this morning. Frost was gone by 7.00, but be careful of those delicate plants still.

Just watched the penultimate episode of Severance on Apple TV followed by the first episode of Adolescence on Netflix.
So different, yet both absolutely superb television.

After sitting outside in a sunny pub garden at the weekend it has suddenly got cold again.
Cats don’t mind though.

Sometimes with all the political noise, I think the most important news stories are being pushed further and further down..

The pond a year ago…

Really please with how our little pond stream looks after its first winter.
Still work to do, but considering it was a pile of rubble last year it is ok.
Birds love it 😊

As the weather is so beautiful today, we thought we would get a couple of chairs out of the shed to sit and enjoy the sun for a while.

The cats had other ideas…

Fed up with all the political madness.
Here’s a photo I took of some mushrooms last year in woodland near Penn, Buckinghamshire.

‘A good day to bury bad news’ is being used frighteningly effectively by Maga.
Create turmoil, make multiple controversial statements, announce many big policy changes at once so no one can keep up.
Then almost anything can be put in place while the outrage is diluted.
How do we fight this?

Beautiful morning - ‘dragon’s breath’ mist clinging to the floor of the valley, fleetingly still until it is consumed by the first rays of the winter sun.

This is now my Box.
No-one is allowed to move it and this table can no longer be used by humans, as it has become a “designated place” for me to sit when there is no available lap…

Mental health warning to fellow Blueskyers.
Try to avoid a quick curious look at what is going on in the old place.
I just did that.
Wow.
