Much respect to @ricksteves.bsky.social rewatching this explanationof fascism in the context of how it starts, how it continues, how it ends and is prevented from returning. "We are partipants, we are all responsible. "

What’s happening in Sicily, Italy 🇮🇹 is absolutely extraordinary!

Mount Etna is erupting while its summit remains covered in snow—an incredible clash of fire and ice.

Here are some explorers skiing between lava flows and snowy slopes—a truly unprecedented sight! ⛷🔥❄️

Over 2.5 billion years ago, trillions of tiny Cyanobacteria spent hundreds of millions of years creating an oxygen-rich atmosphere on Earth.

Take a deep breath. How are you using your oxygen today? Be present. Give freely. Care for others. Make your ancient microbial cousins proud. Exhale. Repeat.

Musk's real innovation comes from finding whole new ways to shit up the planet on a large scale.
Something else to thank EM for.

"The sustained rate of daily reentries is unprecedented," says Jonathan McDowell, an astronomer at the Harvard Center for Astrophysics who tracks satellites. "They are retiring and incinerating about 4 or 5 Starlinks every day."

What made you feel hopeful or strong today? Thanks so much for Paul, Larry, David, and Adam and for their Joshua Tree, which saw me through a morning row.
Huge gratitude also for the great man whose birthday is today. We have work to do. Let us not wallow in the valley of despair.

Morning advice I want to give myself : 1. Random strangers I met yesterday were so very kind and so interesting. The kindness thing is something we can all do something about- be kind(er). 2. Swimming can be scary for those with body confidence issues (maybe all of us?), but you can do it.
