I don’t like Iran regime, but believe it’d be catastrophic for US to try to take it down. Law of unforeseen conseqs. Lessons from Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Gaza ….getting rid of one set of bad leaders doesn’t result in better leaders, just chaos - and “collateral damage” means real innocent lives.

Vote Reform, get this:

The next month, he was stopped by police in a vintage red Porsche as he gave a customer a test drive whilst being signed off sick."

Labour has a whopping great majority and four years left to turn this country around.

They should be setting the agenda, not chasing about trying to placate voters of a party with five MPs who will never vote for them anyway.

It's not only disappointing... it's embarrassing

Incredibly depressing day. I've spent my entire life being told by British governments how dreadful immigration is. New Labour did it. The Coalition. The Brexiters. Now Starmer. All of them accusing the ones who came before them of failing to clamp down. The same old vacant mean-spirited bollocks.

This is the kind of language I expect from Nigel Farage, not the leader of the so called Labour party. As predicted, Starmer's response to the local election humiliation is to go further right in an attempt to appeal to Reform's base who they will never be racist enough for. Grim times.
Keir Starmer says immigration system is “almost designed to permit abuse” and that it risks “pulling the country apart”.

PM says UK needs tougher rules to reduce immigration significantly or it risks becoming “an island of strangers”.

This might be one of the most unhinged things ever committed to print.

The criminal justice system is in literal meltdown, and the MoS devotes a full-page of hysterical shrieking to…whatever this is.
This is all because they're going to stop saying 'All rise' in court and say 'All rise, if able'.

Dear Keir.
A lot of people fought long and hard to rid this country of those disingenuous, despicable Tories which enabled you to get a landslide victory and show what proper leadership was all about.
You’ve not exactly come up trumps (👀) so far… but now’s your big moment.
Stand the fuck up!

This very British type of complacency is infuriating and reminiscent of the useless Remain campaign in 2016, which failed to learn that the lying, manipulative hard Right doesn’t play by the same ethical rules as nice folk, has no sense of honourable conduct and sees fair play as weakness.
