The advertisement uses humor, claiming a psychologist believes the cereal can help those with a "split personality". He claims you can un-split a "split personality" Our psychologist has a theory about the "split personality." Thinks everybody has one. Half of you struggles to stay in bed, mornings. Other half drags its way to the table. He says our Corn Flakes can pull you back together. One mouthful, and both halves of you snap into place. Besides, he adds, "our flakes have a thing." He calls it "Conquerable Resistance." Seems they gently but crisply push back at you when you bite into them. Then they give up graciously. Let you win. Give you the idea you'll probably conquer any other resistances your day may bring. Nourishment? You get just about all the vitamins, et cetera, that anybody in his right mind would care to cope with, so early in the A.M. We nearly forgot to ask the psychologist about flavor. His opinion: OUR Corn Flakes more than live up to any of those hysterical kwispy-kwunchy adjectives he's been seeing in cereal advertising. Says it makes him feel schizoid, that kind of talk.
