The Fair Maps Illinois initiative to pass a 2026 Redistricting Amendment is unrelated to the ongoing battles over U.S. Congressional district maps. Fair maps in Illinois will increase representation, voter engagement, and accountability. Reach out to learn more. www.lwvckcil.com

The 2026 Redistricting Amendment would amend the Illinois Constitution to result in fairer Illinois Legislative District maps following the decennial census in 2030.This amendment would have no impact on US Congressional districts.

Gerrymandering has an ugly history of excluding and silencing minority voices. The 2026 Redistricting Amendment will bring fair maps to the Illinois General Assembly. It is unrelated to the ongoing U.S. Congressional redistricting battles.

We're partnering with Fair Maps Illinois to amend the state Constitution and move a step closer to having legislative districts that reflect our voting population. Look for petitions at upcoming events, and add your signature in support of fair maps.
