Well, that’s a thought that will keep me awake at night!

Unfortunately, I can imagine what the students, staff, and parents are going through. I’ve been there twice as a parent. Thankfully, one was a threat with no guns and one was armed but stopped before he hurt anyone. I hope and pray everyone will be okay.

A lesson I taught my kids. They might have thought I was crazy until the first time I made them do it. Once they found all the mistakes they missed, they became converts.

Times have changed. I grew up in Wichita with a D Rep and Dole & Kassebaum as Senators. She would never get out of a primary in KS today and Wichita isn’t electing Ds any more. Only Dole would stand a chance today and he would have to become an obstructionist instead of a legislator.

I voted early, but my husband couldn’t until after work. He waited in line for 2.5 hours, about 1.5 hours after the polls closed. My college aged kids voted. The youngest said I can’t lecture people about voting if I don’t. We knew Prop 50 would pass, voting was one way to say no to Trump.

To quote my husband, “Once you are in, you are in.” How you got in is irrelevant.

My youngest has become a big Dodgers fan. She is in college and watching the game with the friend that convinced her to love the Dodgers. I don’t dare text her right now.

I was in the minority as a teen - I disliked the Police. I’ve disliked every song of their’s I’ve ever heard. A very unpopular opinion at the time, at least at my school.

I only had to fight for allergy accommodations years ago. It was surprisingly difficult to get the school to not feed my kid during all the classroom parties and events and let me provide everything. I can only imagine how difficult it was to get larger accommodations.

Hell is the parking lot for the Trader Joe’s in Berkeley.

It is all just meaningless words to these idiots. Placate MAGA by sounding good. The Kardashianization of politics and economics is ongoing.

A physical attack on someone exercising their constitutional right to speak is an attack on all of us. The content of the speech is irrelevant. This is another sad day for America.

Same. Maybe I will go back to letting my youngest teach me about K-pop so I can feel a little less old.

An argument I have had with my dad for decades. He rants about the terrible politicians and how we need term limits. He hasn’t voted D in decades and won’t vote in R primaries in a very red state. He is a part of the problem and I tell him so every time.

Is something medically wrong with Trump? Probably, he is 79, overweight with a bad diet and he doesn’t sleep enough. Is it serious? No way to know. Is he struggling mentally? At times, yes, but that doesn’t mean he has dementia. He is old and will have age related health and senility issues.

My husband, a die hard Steelers fan, will probably convince our Cal daughter to go with him to the UNC game solely because he wants to see Belichick lose. He may be overly optimistic about Cal this year.

Oh boy! Can things get any more chaotic? Yes, yes they can.

Irvine in OC that is “exploring” gondolas. I’m a hard no. Get more buses or maybe some parking garages. They seem to think gondolas are a solution for Great Park having little parking, not enough streets to handle events, and very limited public transit.
