It's getting ridiculous at this point. How hard is it to apologize and what harm does it cause. Smh

European birds using anti-bird spikes to build more supportive nests and deter other birds.... crazy brilliant! US birds could use some to keep blue jays from eating their eggs.

I went to see Moulin Rouge in Philadelphia last night. I'm conflicted... outstanding talent, Cardoza's rendition of Roxanne needs to be recorded!

But it was so over the top and lacking any delicacy of true cabaret dancing. The can can was pastiche at best. It was shiny but not glamorous.

A: A platform should care to be welcoming.

B: I don't personally believe in leaving or avoiding a platform because it's not welcoming.

C:I believe in CLAIMING SPACE. In being everywhere even if not easy because otherwise we're forgotten.

If you're enjoying Bluesky and you don't want it to turn into the cesspool of hate that Twitter did, you best speak up now. Cut that 'I don't know what to say' shit out and amplify Black and queer voices, because the BS team ain't listening to us.

Why is it that even though I know that it is virtually impossible to win the lottery, from time to time (several months to a year), I feel like it's my lucky day and I should try it?

Maybe I just want to feel a little hope? Why are our brains like this?

I’ve seen many nasty people, people who were innately bullies and who played politics in the movie and the TV world. I’ve never worked with them knowingly twice. And it’s amazing how often their manoeuvres backfire on them. Don’t work for assholes. Life’s too short.
Some of my best career decisions have been deciding to work with the person I liked rather than the person that was "high-powered."

I mentioned this to someone in Hollywood and they said "nice people can't get things done."

False. And perpetuating that myth enables the assholes.

Threads is full of photos... it's basically Instagram with descriptions on top. I mean what can you expect if you're migrating the users... the Twitter userdom is hard to replicate

I remember using a search bar for homework... now I doubt everything on the first page of results... I've reverted to hitting up the library and older art archives. Ironically more efficient for what I want.
Something very strange is happening to the Web. Finding something from the past on search engines is eroding. Atemporality replaced by an immediate, constantly vanishing, consumerist hyper-present. What we thought was an infinite Borges-ian library turning into Amazon checkout with a ticking clock…
Google is changing up search. What does that mean for news publishers?
A shift to AI-generated search results will decrease the traffic that Google sends to publishers' sites, as more people get what they need straight from the Google search page instead.

Daily WIP. Analog chemigram meets creative coding. I've been using this project for experimenting and learning, trying to stay open and allowing. That's hard for me to do, to stay with it and see how far it can go.
