You all know I've been after the Treasury Department's own Epstein file. It's a set of thousands of detailed bank records, a map of Epstein's financial network. Secretary Bessent is blocking its release – and he denies it's even something Treasury should be investigating.

What about “associate”?

That our own government is reduced to this—is a shame. Shame in both senses: bummer and embarrassment.

This happened to my aunt. She would say shocking things and then be like “what?” And we would all be speechless. She luckily had a son, my awesome cousin, who would crack up at all the insults. I mean, she came up with some truth.

They made (teenager) me take shorthand. I was able to copy down what someone said in realtime, after one semester. I used it a few times during college lectures when I couldn’t take notes fast enough. It’s a nice skill to have when you’re getting desperate to follow a fast talker.
