I am the World's Most Averagest Mini Painter(tm). My thoughts and anything else on miniature painting and tabletop gaming. Infinity, Warcrow, Shadows of Brimstone, One Page Rules as well as Battletech, 3D Printing and other random things.
I took some time from painting to whip a basic painting handle to replace some of my 25 year old paint bottles that I’ve been using. I call it “Yet Another Paint Handle” or YAPH. Available on Thingiverse soon.

I took a break from painting to assemble this big fella - a Mahut for Conquest: Last Argument of Kings. As is my style, it was very averagely assembled, with several pieces not quite fitting perfectly. (And not due to the manufacturer.)

Before: miniature ruined with flaky haze from malfunctioning spray matte sealer.
After: I brushed on a couple of coats of Vallejo satin varnish and the result, while not perfect, has been salvaged for the tabletop.

Almost done with 3 Swamp Stingers for Shadows of Brimstone. It really shows how important a finished base is - by showing the lack of one!

Working on a couple of Big’uns tonight. WIP - Nomads Lizard and GoPod.
I put down my paintbrush for awhile to design some terrain. I whomped up corner pieces in openSCAD and printed them out. Should work for MDF or foamcore. Holes for magnets, too. You’ll have to imagine some Greebles and a coat of paint.

Had a wedding yesterday night, but was able to pack a few things to paint with so spent the day painting some miniatures while overlooking a beautiful Alabama lake.

A little haul from Michael’s and Joanne’s. Joanne’s was pretty picked over, but Michael’s had acrylic inks for $3. Stocked up on cheap brushes, too… because… tariffs.

Finished painting my giant cargo gantry crane thing. It is HUGE. You can see the minis. Really like the models from TeseractTomb on MyMiniFactory.

Still in large terrain hell, but managed to finish Parvati. She arrived in peach fuzzed primer, so even though this is my normal average paint job, I am darn happy. Except maybe her wing thingies. Not enough contrast on the white parts. Lol
