Athey averaged 35 to Crawley's 32 in first class cricket. But to be fair to Crawley his Test average is rather better (31 to 22)

I thought I was a rarity in being disappointed by what the original Rentaghost - absolutely one of my "don't miss" shows at the time - became. Others younger than me clearly remember the later series very fondly.
