Insect Glaive is unfathomably good in Wilds!

Best iteration we've ever had by a huge mile. 🙏

The prequel trilogy has some INSANE bangers that people like to simply throw under the bus, since for some reason people love to hate those movies.

"The day we stop believing in democracy is the day we lose it" goes similarly hard.

Red, you get a cute princess with it 🙏😉

I find that channeling despair into some "never to be released" short stories really does wonders for the mind.

I know we've all had those day dreams of Luigi'ing a certain person or two, why not make up a story where a character does.

Give em fun powers and just go ham, get that despair out.

Keep using it and ignore the feedback unless it comes from a trusted source or shows up a LOT

That would be my advice as a fellow author

As a Webnovel author I get a lot of feedback on a regular basis and that's the best way I've found to deal with it.

Many readers have no idea wtf they're saying

Olive skin is absolutely, 100% still fine to use. It's literally a shade of colour, what the hell is even the perceived issue here?

Its like saying you can't use crimson to describe red anymore.

Yes please! Not an artist, but got a few artist friends that love your style that I'd share the goods with!

They'd highly appreciate it, I'm sure!

Honestly not sure from a discovery perspective but I already follow you for writing and wouldn't mind seeing some art on my timeline as well 😅

You can then branch off into different directions depending on your style.

Describe the area around him in more detail, describe him in more detail, move the PoV into his head to give more information about his thoughts.

Lots of options!

Cold opens are a staple for this kind of stuff 😊🙏

Something simple like that gives a whole host of things to work off of.

The reader is immediately in the action without any large exposition dumps, theres mystery (why is he running, who is chasing him) and we get some world building alongside it (alleyways mean civilization, damp could mean rain)

I find that cold opens help a ton with that initial opening.

No need to find a neat spot to enter with, just show the character right in action.

"Heavy breaths escaped James as he zigzagged through the damp alleyways, his head snapping back multiple times, his eyes searching frantically."
