P.S. It's only been five months since I exited my game studio and honestly I miss MAKING something. Soon as my coursework lightens up, I'll build something of my own 😊

Thank you for this! I'm teaching game writing next term to multimedia arts students (no coding experience) and am on the lookout for tools they can use. I was looking into Twine, and had used Fiero for another class, but hadn't heard of these other ones until your post. And mixing is a great idea 💡

WTH GDC. So many reasons why the rest of the world can't (or won't) go to the US right now. Happy to support gamescom asia, PocketGamer, and everyone else who understands the game industry is bigger than just the US 🌏

I also want to shout out to my husband who was in the audience, taking photos and videos of me onstage. He also bought me a Psyduck from the Nintendo booth to help absorb my anxiety 😂 And it worked! I brought it backstage with me and it kept me calm. If I chair again next year, I'm bringing it 🦆 4/4

And the sessions were great! From indie games like Urban Jungle (TH) and Northwind (ID) to big successes like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate and Hill Climb Racing 2. I hadn't had a chance to attend other talks because I was at the WIGA booth. I saw 7 in my track, & learned a ton. 3/4

There are always hiccups to live events and this was no exception. Sessions got moved around, I came up with questions on the fly if Q&A was slow, etc. Thankfully the gamescom asia stage team was incredibly on point, guiding me at every step. They made it really easy for me to do my job. 2/4

... That we can have a real impact on people around us, not just professionally but personally. And that we should try to leave this world a bit better than when we found it. I hope to carry on his love for games, his generosity and kindness, and how he shone a spotlight on devs around the world.

If you’ll be there, come say hi - I’d love to connect 👋 If I'm not onstage I'll be at the Women in Games Asia booth in the Business Exhibition area.
