what makes me especially sad about this is that I've always loved writing until I had to function in English. then everything became purely technical and structural and mechanical, im constantly obsessing over whether everything is "correct" or not and my creativity has died

for all the papers and essays ive written for school nobody ever told me if they were good or bad on a fundamental "writing" level or how I could make them better. at this point it seems like either you're a good writer or you're not and im not but I dont know how to do better
