So with Kamen Rider Zeztz and Gavan infinity both being released globally, that probably means that Hasbro's option period has expired and Toei are free to distribute their toku series however they like and that applies to any future shows including a hypothetical Super Sentai revival.

-This all applies the same way to not just Super Sentai, but any Toei tokusatsu shows (Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes, etc.) So the theory that the rebrand was done to get around the contract is likely untrue as, assuming Hasbro are still bound by the original contract, it wouldn't make a difference.

-That option period originally only lasted 18 months but it extends 1 year for each show Saban(and presumably Hasbro) licences, meaning it may have already expired considering they stopped acquiring new shows a few years ago.

Namely:
-PR doesn't have perpetual distribution rights to the entire Super Sentai series, they need to licence one season at a time.
-They do have an exclusive option to licence the shows, meaning Toei can't licence or distribute them outside of Asia without clearing it with them first.

The answer is a bit complicated but most likely no Hasbro wouldn't have any control.

There was a discussion about this on twitter a while back where someone managed to dig up the original contract between Saban and Toei which revealed a few interesting things.

Its not hard to make the choice to be kind. And being kind is *always* a choice in the same way some people choose to be evil, either outright or otherwise.

So choose to be kind — not nice — but truly kind for those who need it. Even if you dont know them. And definitely in spite of those who wont.
