I think my biggest concern may be that the timing is such that Rs can frame the holdout as a political stunt by the Dems to win elections, rather than then caring about their constituents.
Of course people are hurting and we want that to end, but was this deal really not available two weeks ago?

Yeah I'm worried SNL Mamdani was right. "I want to be mayor so I can deliver a better New York. Free healthcare, affordable housing, free WiFi. As mayor can I make that happen? I'm not sure yet, but together we're gonna find out...that the answer is no."

I'm not saying ban the unintentional intentional walk (see Ohtani's 17th inning at-bat) but I just think we should make the pitcher work a little bit.

If they want to make a rule change it should be banning intentional walks after 12 innings. Nobody wants to see Shohei jog to first base unless it's because he just hit a moonshot.
