Fantastic thread talking about the real impacts of different policies and how they’ve affect the immigration debate and feed into common complaints anti-immigration people have
THREAD. Many people say they want debate on immigration. Others clearly do but don’t call it that. There have been several new Immigration Acts in Parliament in the last few years. There have been numerous statements by numerous Home Secretaries. All of which prompted months of debate. 1/23

20/23 and an understanding of how hard it is to be separated from your family would also help. Of course people want their families with them. Often they can’t bring them or don’t want to disrupt their lives. That’s a hard thing to live with, surely anyone can understand that. My dad struggled.
