So you're saying even if CN the TV channel and CN the studio are each owned by separate companies, and the latter would be rebranded back to Hanna-Barbera (which I wouldn't mind), the studio can still make original shows for the channel as well as other platforms?

Just to bring this back up, but do you think this could help the linear networks in any way?

I'm saying this because a nostalgic part of me hopes that someday, WB could reacquire the Turner networks from Disc. Global when they're ready to afford it, and could reinvent them to make them profitable.
I get that cable is not as popular as it used to be, but what I propose they do is reprioritize all their TV networks for Live-TV streaming services like Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV, since people are now watching them on there more than cable boxes.

The only catch is that when WBD does split, the Turner networks (including CN and Boomerang) will be run by Discovery, who'll be the one to handle the debt.

This is just me, but do you think WB could re-acquire Turner from Discovery in the future after they've recovered from their debt?

If they were to relaunch CNS, my guess is that they would rename it to Hanna-Barbera Studios like what they did with Cartoon Network Studios Europe when it got relaunched as HBSE. My main goal right now is to be able to work with Warner Bros. someday and make new shows and do character voices.

Yup. Apple and Amazon are tech companies first and foremost; I can't see either of them properly managing WB. Media content seems to be secondary in their priorities. And Paramount getting it is a whole other horror show.

Staying independent after they split is the best option. WB can continue to support their streaming and studios businesses and build from their. They have an animation boom on the way if more platforms start buying.

Maybe it's just my wishful thinking, but I also hope Amazon gives Cartoon Network some needed love by reinventing the brand and channel for new generations. I'm not too concerned about Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera, since WB is still making new content with those IPs.

While I still hope WB remains independent, I do feel that if another merger does happen, Amazon is the safest bet when compared to Paramount, Netflix, or even Comcast, because at least they embrace its classic film library that's under Amazon MGM. Plus, it doesn't feel THAT big of a monopoly.
