/r/Askhistorians is easily one of the best avenues for public history on the internet! It's hard to think of another place where you can find deep, insightful, and comprehensive answers to interesting questions.
i cannot emphasize enough how much I think professional historians should monitor and post on r/AskHistorians

the questions are good and the discussions are serious and you reach a big audience
How modern a phenomenon are "cults"? There are a lot of problems with defining “Cults”, leading /u/Double_Show_9316 to dive into the complex world divergent beliefs, changing historical concepts and so much more!
