I've been very nostalgic about Japan lately and cozy Japanese literature has helped fuel it.

My favorite book of the month was The House in the Cerulean Sea. I learned the most from This Book is Anti-Racist. What You are Looking for is at the Library was the most impactful, quick read.

I started a cookbook club. We each prepared a dish from Justine Cooks. Everyone's dish was EXCELLENT and it was so fun to talk about the book and about future cookbooks.

If you are looking to create more community and joy, I recommend starting your own cookbook club!

My mom gave me my grandmother's hand crocheted lace tablecloth. My grandmother received it as a wedding gift in 1951. Any idea how to get decades old wine stains out?

I was able to hear Renee Bracey Sherman speak about abortions last night. It was a phenomenal talk and I'm invigorated and ready to fight for our rights to healthcare.

The first annual Dipsgiving was a wild success. Whitney's persimmon, pistachio, mint dip won the battle.

It was a good year for pawpaws and an even better year for persimmons.

Harvested the last of my elderberries. This year was prolific. What should I make with all of them? Shrubs? Syrup? Jelly? Jam?

Kathal on Netflix was an unexpected delight. It's a mystery set in India involving stolen jackfruit.
