Maybe you're just in an echo chamber which has lost touch with reality? Plenty of left wing radicals were raised in traditional households then radicalized at university. The right was able to look at the victim and immediately deduce motive based on what made sense. The left makes it's own reality.

It was a dog whistle to the conspiracy theory that the guy was a groyper or some other form of right-wing person.

I just don't see how anyone can say with surety that any gerrymandering is racially motivated vs politically motivated. Unless political parties are completely racially homogeneous, then all political gerrymandering can be framed in racial terms.

I understand that, but it's pretty dumb if you have no clue what my chances of being impacted are. It's incredibly dismissive. Democrats are always incredibly dismissive of crime, homelessness, illegal immigration. They gaslight people.

Zombies aren't real, violent crime is. If you're privileged enough to not have to deal with violent crime count yourself lucky but don't pretend like it's something people are making up like aliens, zombies and ghosts.

Trump seems to understand the politics of Clientelism as well as any Democrat. "The exchange of goods and services for political support, often involving an implicit or explicit quid-pro-quo."

Republicans don't really give their voters anything. Democrats are better at providing jobs from tax payer funded NGOs, federal jobs, union jobs, various entitlements. That produces more loyalty. Trump seemed to understand you have to bribe voters with their own money.

I think the left has dropped the ball on crime and Trump is taking advantage of it. Bullying people who are concerned with crime is not going to do anything but alienate them from you on other issues.

If some race is mostly loyal to one political party, then that party can framed any reduction in power as racial attacks. It's just manipulation.

I would rather be poor in safety than rich in fear. There should be no places a woman is too scared of crime to venture at any time of day or night.

I think the Democrats have some reasonable ideas economically but it pales in comparison to how weak they are on crime. You can't deal with higher order things like the economy until you get crime under control.

I've been to them in the Bay Area. There's little sidewalk shops set up around the mission Bart stations where stolen goods are for sale on a daily basis.

You can reject it all you want but this is the first time in a long time DC has gone a week without a homicide. Carjackings have decreased by 83%, robberies by 46%, car thefts by 21%, and overall violent crime is down 22%. The Democrat reply is we should tolerate the reverse.
