Bloom is such an insane album
It’s so disappointing. It’s listenable, but it’s mostly extremely surface level dance music with Tame Impala vocals over top. Good background music and I’m sure it’ll be fun at festivals but it’s just not nearly as captivating as his other work. The worst songs on Slow Rush would be highlights here

My Old Ways, Afterthought, and Obsolete are good songs that sound like Tame Impala with a dance flair. I like Dracula and Loser as concepts but they feel rushed and incomplete. The album as a whole should’ve expanded the concept of these songs instead of venturing into underdeveloped festival bait.
