here which kept some Ukrainians as "enemy aliens" during the war. It just wasn't ever talked about and sadly, I was only 10 when he died. He was a freighter captain during WWII, shipping supplies overseas and was torpedoed twice. Incredible and humble man.

I've been doing a deep dive on Dr. Archibald Malloch after coming across the family cairn he had erected in 1897 in Brockville Cemetery. One rabbit hole leading to another, I find that he was a student & friend of Dr. Joseph Lister of "wash your hands before performing surgery!" fame.
