"Pessimism is a luxury we cannot afford. Pessimism won't tackle the climate crisis"

Excellent to hear big ambition and commitment for climate and nature action from Energy Secretary Ed Miliband at @green-alliance.org.uk's summer reception

"Increasing consumption of plant-based food and eating less meat would cut costs to the NHS", says @jimdickson.bsky.social

Great to be talking to MPs w/ @green-alliance.org.uk, @gfi.org & @foodfoundation.bsky.social about how sustainable diets can improve health, boost growth & meet green goals

"Restoring nature isn't an add on, it is absolutely central to sustainable food production"

Fantastic to launch @green-alliance.org.uk's new report with Minister Daniel Zeichner this morning

We've highlighted what farmers say they need next from govt to seize the opportunity of the agri transition

Amazing to wrap up the Climate & Nature Leadership Programme last night 🥳

Since Sept, @environmentappg.bsky.social + @climateappg.bsky.social have given MPs and peers, new and returning, support to be environmental champions

Pleased to have to have worked with a fab team on this exciting project!

Excellent to speak to Green Party members last night about getting nature restoration back on track, alongside @nataliegreenpeer.bsky.social, Adrian Ramsay MP + Gareth Cunningham

Such enthusiasm and determination for everything from making our food systems sustainable to the importance of COP29!

Yet again we're waking up to bleak news and an election result that threatens every value we most prize

Highly recommend @rebeccasolnit.bsky.social's Hope in the Dark as a reminder that solidarity, people power + an unrelenting belief that we deserve better are a proven path to a brighter future 🌞

A very busy day in parliament yesterday, hosting *two* Environment APPG events

In the morning, was fantastic to hear Nature Minister Mary Creagh's plans for COP16

The UK plays a leading role at these negotiations, and MPs & peers asked vital q's on adaptation, finance and constituency engagement
